Welcome to Unique Horsey Furniture!

How It Began....
I moved to Ocala, Florida this past year and while furnishing my new home, I was amazed at how few horsey accent pieces were available in "The Horse Capital of the World." So even though my plan was to officially retire from a lifetime of creative pursuits (magazine publishing, graphic design, stained glass creations and a myriad of other endeavors), I found myself haunting estate sales on weekends in search of quality furniture that could be transformed into those perfect accent pieces for people who love horses.

Creating the Horse-Themed Furniture
When I find my 'treasure' I prepare the piece by thoroughly cleaning it, sanding or stripping it and then repairing any scratches or damages. Next I paint the piece with either chalk paint or cabinet paint and then seal it with wax or polyacrylic for protection. Depending on the piece, I utilize either decoupage touched up with hand-painting, transfer art, or stencils or a combination of medias.

I invite you to browse this website to discover what I came up with and note that I have tried my best to include all disciplines in the designs, with several pieces being appropriate for all disciplines. Everything here is for sale....and I would also be happy to create custom pieces, if you have something special in mind.

Ordering and Shipping
Because furniture is heavy and bulky, it is not only difficult to ship but costly, so I ask that you contact me by phone, text, or email so that I can get shipping quotes before you order; your location will determine the shipping cost. If you are located in or near the Ocala area, pickup or delivery can be arranged.

There is a page of smaller horsey Accessories which can be shipped much more easily by UPS or FedEx. Again, call first and let me know what you would like to order. We take all major credit/debit cards.
